FC Midtjylland sells Lee Han-beom for €9M

FC Midtjylland has reportedly reached an agreement with Club Brugge for the sale of South Korean national team player Lee Han-beom. The Belgians are paying €9M plus €1.5M in bonuses, totaling around €10.5M. The club has also secured a 15% sell-on clause.

How did the sale come about?

Lee Han-beom, who joined FC Midtjylland in 2023, did not want to extend his contract. The club has therefore been working on selling him and managed to push the price up from the initial offer of €5-6M.

What does this mean for FC Midtjylland?

With this sale, FC Midtjylland receives a significant income that can be used to strengthen the team. The club is currently top of the Superliga with 3 points after a win in the first game.

What's next?

FC Midtjylland must now find a replacement for Lee Han-beom. The next match is against Lyngby on August 16, where the team will try to maintain their good start to the season.

The team is currently without several players due to injuries, including Friday Etim, Júnior Brumado, Mikel Gogorza and Ousmane Diao.
