FC Midtjylland has new blood ready in the attack. They are namely bringing in Nigerian player Stanley Iheanacho from sister club CD Mafra. In 2024, the now 21-year-old Iheanacho moved from FCM to Mafra, after which he has scored 17 goals in 65 games for the Portuguese club over the past two years. Sports manager Kristian Bach Bak is happy to have the striker back. Stanley is still a young boy who came a long way from home early on. He traveled from Nigeria to Denmark and then from Denmark to Portugal. He has taken some steps in terms of senior football over the two years he has been at Mafra. Initially, he was a small part of the team and had to fight for playing time, but last season he contributed with goals and assists, and played a major role. He has matured. Stanley is a fantastic guy. He is very positive and happy, and as a player, he has a really high top speed. He is very dynamic in his playing style, moves a lot, and is aggressive in the press. He works hard and also has the nice ability to score goals. In the 2023-24 season, the striker made his debut for FCM, but he only got one game on the first team. It was in the Oddset Pokalen, where he managed to score four times when Aabenraa was defeated 13-0. And it's not the first time Stanley Iheanacho has impressed for FC Midtjylland. But now he's back, and sports manager Kristian Bach Bak is happy about it. So what can we expect from the Nigerian player in the future? He has already shown that he can score goals and play a major role in the team. FC Midtjylland has gotten a good reinforcement with Stanley Iheanacho back in the squad.
